who we are

We are 11 musicians:

Betty
alto
Betty bops! She was a jazz aficionado looking for a challenge. Collage was a group in search of an alto. It was love at first sight! Her dazzling smile and high-energy presence onstage are a delight to watch.
Carolyn
alto
Carolyn gives them “Fever”! Her official title is “Note Police”, but you would never know it when you see her onstage. Her sultry blonde looks and the ability to do some serious vamping during performances obscure the fact that she values detail and precision as part of her craft. You go girl!
Connie
soprano
Connie sings with a community choir but joined Collage looking for a smaller group. She brings her great voice, her energy and her musical talents to Collage; we're all glad she sings with us.
Darren
bass
Darren's great resonant voice adds a wonderful quality to our sound!
Elaine
soprano
dedicated, enthusiastic, and blessed with a lovely voice - what more could you ask? She claims Collage is her "therapy" but her energy and her smile are good for us all too!
Kirsteen
soprano
“Moments of silence are also part of the music”, but Kirsteen isn’t quiet very often. Music has been her passion as long as she can remember. Classical, opera, gospel, blues, rock, country, jazz…. she loves it all. Music is communication, so let’s get started!!
Lorraine
soprano
Lorraine has tapped into a mysterious, inexhaustible supply of energy. She's a grandmother of twins, a gardener, a part-time ESL teacher and much more. And she still finds time to sing! Her unmistakable infectious laugh and her wonderful soprano voice are a real treasure.
Stephanie
tenor, keyboard
Stephanie originally joined Collage to help out at rehearsals, but once her technical ability and her ear for music came to light she became music wrangler, sound technician, MIDI editor and even webmaster. Her ability to play by ear and her unusual tenor voice lend a unique quality to many of Collage's numbers.
Steve
baritone
Steve's baritone voice is only one of his great gifts to the group. His contagious smile, his great sense of humour and his plentiful hugs are just what we need after a long diffficult practice.
Terry
tenor
Gimme some riddim! Gimme some rhyme! Come on people, it's singing time! Terry is our Jamaican baritone, who can't make up his mind. He floats between Tenor and Bass and has even tried his hand at arranging. Could there be an original composition in his future?
